The Foundation’s goal is based on firsthand experience

In September, 2005, Anna Leigh Tomalis was diagnosed with a very rare tumor called “Embryonal Sarcoma of the Liver”. During long periods of treatment Anna and her family spent more time in the hospital than out. Anna’s Gift Foundation aims to help families alleviate some of the stress put on their children and siblings caused by long periods of illness which may bar them from doing the things they love most.

Anna's Story

We focus on activity and interaction

Anna’s Gift Foundation is a 100% volunteer organization that provides activities in the form of “kits” – everything included, unique activities – for hospitalized kids, teens, and their siblings.  In early 2013, we partnered with the Hershey Children’s Center, supplying them with 100 kits, which at the time seemed like a lot of kits!  Since then, by the hands of our generous donors and volunteers, the Foundation has grown to making about 6,000 to 7,000 kits a year.  These are delivered to different Children’s Hospitals in the United States.

What We Do

Give the gift of a memory

While our volunteers and activity packs may only occupy a child or teen for an afternoon, those fleeting moments of joy will live forever in the memories of grieving families and friends. This Foundation was inspired by a memory; the memory of a beautiful child named Anna. In this Foundation, Anna lives on; positively impacting the lives of countless people through small but powerful moments of joy. Your donation will help to preserve Anna’s legacy and create new memories that will inspire others just as Anna has inspired us.
